01What EV electronics can Digital Circuits manufacture?
As an EV electronics manufacturer in India, Digital Circuits builds battery management system (BMS) boards, EV charger control and power boards, motor controller PCBs, DC-DC converters, vehicle control units, selector switches, telematics and instrument-cluster boards. We also offer box build and wire harness assembly, so you can receive a finished, tested EV sub-system instead of loose boards. Every product is built under our IATF 16949 automotive quality system, from prototype to volume production.
02What is BMS PCB assembly?
BMS PCB assembly is the manufacturing of the circuit boards inside a battery management system. These boards monitor cell voltage, current and temperature, balance the cells and protect the battery pack from overcharging, deep discharge and overheating. Our BMS PCB assembly covers SMT and through-hole assembly, automated optical inspection (AOI), conformal coating and functional testing before shipment, for two-wheeler, three-wheeler, car and energy-storage battery packs.
03Are you IATF 16949 certified?
Yes. Digital Circuits holds IATF 16949:2016 certification, the international quality management standard for automotive production. It means our EV electronics are built with automotive-grade process control, including PFMEA, control plans, statistical process control (SPC) and Poka-Yoke, along with full documentation and lot traceability. For EV OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, an IATF 16949 certified EMS partner in India reduces supplier qualification effort and quality risk.
04Do you manufacture EV chargers?
We manufacture the electronics inside EV chargers, including control boards and power boards for on-board chargers, portable chargers and AC charging equipment. Through our box build service, we can also assemble complete chargers with enclosures, wiring harnesses and final testing. Charger brands can outsource EV charger PCB assembly to us and scale from pilot batches to volume production across our three plants in India.
05Can you protect boards from heat, vibration and moisture?
Yes. EV electronics face high temperatures, constant vibration, moisture and dust, so we design our process for harsh automotive environments. We apply conformal coating to protect boards from moisture and contamination, control soldering quality with AOI and in-circuit testing, and run functional tests on every board before shipment. Our engineers also review your design for manufacturability (DFM) to reduce reliability risks before production starts.
06Do you support prototypes for new EV products?
Yes. We support new product introduction (NPI) for EV start-ups and established OEMs, including prototype builds, pilot runs and engineering feedback through DFM review. Once your design is validated, we scale to volume production on the same SMT lines, which have a capacity of over 1 million components per hour. Staying with one EMS partner from prototype to production keeps quality consistent and shortens your time to market.
07Can you source components for EV boards?
Yes. We offer turnkey electronics manufacturing, where we source genuine, traceable components from trusted suppliers, as well as consigned builds using parts you supply. Many EV customers choose a mix of both, supplying critical parts such as BMS ICs or power devices while we source the rest. Full component traceability supports automotive quality requirements and makes it easier to manage part changes and shortages.
08Can manufacturing in India help with EV localisation targets?
Building your EV electronics in India increases domestic value addition, which supports localisation goals under Indian EV programmes such as the PM E-DRIVE phased manufacturing programme (PMP) and the auto PLI scheme. Moving BMS, charger and controller PCB assembly to an Indian EMS partner can also reduce import duties, currency exposure and supply-chain risk. Your compliance team should confirm exactly how these programmes apply to your product.
09Do you work with overseas EV companies?
Yes. Digital Circuits serves 38 clients across three continents, and we support overseas EV and charging companies looking to outsource electronics manufacturing to India, including as part of a China+1 strategy. Our English-speaking engineering teams share regular updates by email and video calls, and India's time zone overlaps with European working hours. We handle export packing and shipping so finished boards and assemblies reach your production line.
